Howard, its OK if you post here, but you probably won't get many answers
here as its not very busy as you can see. I can't remember if I
mentioned to you before that there are two other anxiety newsgroups.

alt.support.anxiety-panic.moderated and alt.support.anxiety-panic . Try
the moderated one.
Its the most active and someone there might know about Event Monitors.

Both these groups focus on anxiety, but that is one of your concerns and
you can always mention that fact if you post a message at any of those
groups.

I used to go on a heart defect newsgroup called
alt.support.heart-defects and I looked it up right now and notice that
you posted a message there a few months ago and got no replies. it used
to be fairly active there but that was years ago when I used to go, but
there seems to be nobody much there any more. I also checked
alt.support-heart and not many messages either, mostly older messages,
just a few newish ones. You could maybe post there and see if you get
any replies. You would think with heart problems there would be tons of
newsgroups. Its not like its some rare thing.
Regarding the event monitor, don't you have to go back and see the
doctor about what exactly the resultsl mean? I know you mentioned you
spoke to the nurse, but thats not the doctor. Did you ever ask your
doctor to get you an EKG or echocardiogram to rule out heart problem?s.
You said before that he didn't think so, but did you ask him about EKG
or Echo?.

It could be be worth your while to check out
alt.support.anxiety-panic.moderated newsgroup. Its a very busy group and
you will get some answers for questions about anxiety, what heart
symptoms it might cause, etc. There are many knowledgeable and
supportive people there who could probably answer some of your questions
since you don't seem to be getting the answers you need. Check it out
there and read some messages to get an idea of the newsgroup, then you
will have a better idea if you decide to post. I would try there if it
was me, but up to you.

Howie, check out the URL below and see if you can relate to any of it.
Its about how to handle anxiety/panic attacks. I get anxiety attacks in
certain situations, and try to use CBT techniques which help to varying
degrees. I tend to exagerrate things which I think will happen by saying
what if this and what if that, and this can cause me sometimes to feel
dizzy and not able to walk steady especially when the weather is hot or
in a hot mall in winter. Symptoms are described in the URL below and you
might think of buying the book "Feeling Good" - the mood disorders book
by David Burns. it comes in paperback and if you read it, you will get a
better idea if you have anxiety or panic disorder. I like "The Anxiety
and Phobia workbook" by Edmund Bourne better myself. Its an
oversize paperback book. YOu don't have to do the workbook part. You can
just read the information in it. It explains everything about phobias
and anxiety and panic attacks. Since you are not sure what you have,
maybe you should get the Feeling Good paperback for now, as its cheaper.
